What is a Breast Lift (Mastopexy)?
A Breast Lift, or Mastopexy Surgery lifts and reshape breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the nipple and areola. A Breast Lift can be performed to:
- Address breast position following ptosis (sag) after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss or ageing
- Reshape and elevate the breast by repositioning the nipple
- Add volume when combined with a Breast Augmentation
- Lift and reduce when combined with a Breast Reduction
- Address concurrent issues such as inverted nipples in a single procedure
There are multiple Breast Lift techniques, each involving different scar patterns.
However, the Anchor Lift, (anchor-shaped scar), is generally suited to most patients, especially where stability and anchoring are required.
The Breast Lift (Mastopexy) is generally performed at Kingsgrove Day Hospital, under general anaesthetic.
