Treatment Modalities
Evolve provides three distinct treatment modalities: TITE, TRIM and TONE.
TITE
Tite uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to remodel the skin and target laxity. During an Abdominoplasty procedure, Dr Dona always removes as much skin as can be done safely. However, it is inevitable that within a few months, due to post-operative swelling, stretching and skin relaxation, the skin will not be as tight as it was initially.
Tite radiofrequency (RF) skin-tightening technology can help prevent skin from stretching while also aiming to provide additional tightening.
TRIM
Trim focuses on fat reduction by combining radiofrequency (RF) energy with vacuum technology to target cellulite and fat deposits. It may be considered for areas of the body resistant to diet and exercise, providing a non-surgical option to liposuction.
During an Abdominoplasty procedure, Dr Dona will remove excess fatty tissue. However, there may still be stubborn areas of fat that the patient may prefer to have removed following surgery. Evolve can deliver a uniform thermal effect to the deepest layers of subcutaneous fat, supporting fat reduction.
TONE
Tone uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to help strengthen and tone muscles. An Abdominoplasty procedure typically tightens the abdominal muscles. However, due to a lack of physical exertion in the following six weeks, these muscles will weaken. To support core abdominal strength and re-engage and activate these muscles, the Evolve ‘Tone’ (EMS) can be used.
Commencing Treatment After Abdominoplasty
We recommend that Abdominoplasty patients deemed suitable for treatment begin no sooner than six weeks after surgery, with six weekly, 30-minute sessions.
Patients wanting a minimal amount of treatments should have the TONE treatment starting at six weeks after surgery. However, these three treatments can be combined. A popular combination is having the TITE and TONE during the same clinic visits for six weeks. For optimal effects, you may also consider adding the TRIM.
Please allow approximately two hours per visit to account for changing applicators between treatments.
